The Recipe For a Good Life

6 cups of Laughter
3 ounces of Opportunity
2 cups of Love
2 ½ tablespoons of Success
1 ¼ tablespoons of Failure
1 4 ounce can of Friendships
2 ¾ cups of Family
1 ounce of Adventure
1 Dream, unmolded

Pour all ingredients into a large saucepan.  Don’t be conservative with the main ingredient, Laughter, because it is necessary to bring out all the other flavors in the recipe.  Do not forget the tablespoons of Failure as they make the Success taste much sweeter.  Don’t worry, if too much Failure is used, the ounces of Friendships and cups of Family will neutralize the Failure’s bitter taste.  Be sure to take advantage of the ounces of Opportunity if you have them available in your kitchen.  Most people overlook this ingredient and unfortunately miss out on its strong flavor.  If you are having trouble finding Opportunity in your kitchen, look harder, it’s most likely there.  If you like spice, be sure to add the Adventure as it will give your Life a nice kick.

Cover and boil.  Be sure to stir the contents frequently.  The more you stir, the more the contents change, creating a more flavorful and appetizing Life. While you’re stirring, add Love as needed, it always helps to bring out the flavor of all the other ingredients.  After 15 minutes, add the unmolded Dream.  Be sure it is unmolded as this is the fun part, but also the key step in the recipe.  Stir and watch as the Dream begins to interact with all the other ingredients and mold itself.  After 35 more minutes, leave covered and remove from heat.  Let the contents sit for 10 minutes.

Uncover and be amazed at what you see.  If done right, the Dream will have molded with all the ingredients and become a beautiful flavorful Life.  Taste and enjoy!  Congratulations, you have made yourself a Good Life!  The recipe is enough for a lifetime of leftovers.  So, don’t be shy!  Enjoy your Good Life every day!
